MoE Women’s Association Inducts New Leadership, Calls for Excellence
Monrovia, Liberia – April 24, 2026

The Ministry of Education Women’s Association (MoEWA) has inducted a new leadership team, signaling a renewed focus on unity, professionalism, and the advancement of women across Liberia’s education sector.
The new leadership includes Evelyna Kandakai (President), Geraldine Nyekan (Vice President), Evelyn G. C. Moiseemah (Secretary General), Faustina J. Kantie (Assistant Secretary), Roberta R. Anderson Quaye (Financial Secretary), Mabel M. P. Somah (Treasurer), and Cecelia Moore (Chaplain).
Administering the oath of office, Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah emphasized that leadership must be grounded in competence, accountability, and inclusivity. She called on women to support one another, invest in their growth, and ensure equitable access to opportunities across the sector.
The ceremony also featured a panel discussion on professional and personal development.
In her remarks, the Minister urged the Association to move beyond social engagement and become a results-driven platform that delivers measurable impact and advances gender equity in education.
MoEWA is expected to strengthen leadership capacity, foster collaboration, and promote excellence among women in the sector.
