Ministry of Education Receives Two Vehicles from UNICEF to Strengthen the Back to My Classroom Campaign
The Ministry of Education has received two vehicles from UNICEF to support the Back to My Classroom (BTMC) Campaign, a national multi-sector initiative that helps out-of-school children return to learning by connecting them and their families with education, health, social protection, birth registration, and other essential services.
The vehicles were officially handed over during a ceremony held on July 3, 2026, at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, Monrovia.
Speaking at the event, UNICEF Representative Andy Brooks said the vehicles will strengthen outreach efforts, enabling campaign teams to reach more out-of-school children, particularly in remote and underserved communities, as implementation expands to seven additional counties.
Mr. Brooks commended the leadership of Education Minister Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah and reaffirmed UNICEF’s continued partnership with the Government of Liberia to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn.
Receiving the vehicles, Minister Jallah thanked UNICEF for its continued partnership and said the donation will strengthen the Ministry’s ability to reach more children and families as the campaign expands across Liberia.
