Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah has, on behalf of His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, dedicated a newly constructed public school in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

The new facility was constructed to address overcrowding at Bassa High School and expand access to quality learning for students in the county.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony, Dr. Jallah reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening public education through sustained investments in school infrastructure. She noted that quality education depends not only on classrooms, but also on qualified teachers, adequate learning materials, and safe, supportive environments where students can thrive.

The Minister commended the Grand Bassa County Legislative Caucus and County Council for financing the project and thanked the World Basic Group of Companies for completing the school ahead of schedule.

Receiving the keys to the facility on behalf of President Boakai and the Government of Liberia, Dr. Jallah pledged that the Ministry of Education would continue working with county authorities and partners to further improve the campus and strengthen teaching and learning.

The dedication brought together government officials, lawmakers, education stakeholders, traditional leaders, students, and community members to celebrate another investment in Liberia’s education system and the future of its children.
