14 LIBERIAN AGRICULTURE TEACHERS HEAD TO GHANA FOR ONE-YEAR ADVANCED TRAINING

Fourteen Liberian Agriculture teachers are preparing to depart for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana for a one-year advanced training in Agriculture Education.

The program will strengthen their technical and teaching skills so they can return better equipped to support Liberia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.

The opportunity is being provided through the European Union-funded Youth Rising Project, implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Speaking at a pre-departure ceremony at the Ministry of Education, Minister Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah reminded the teachers that the opportunity is bigger than individual advancement.

She encouraged them to remain focused, curious, and open to learning, and to return ready to share their knowledge and strengthen agriculture education in Liberia.

Representing the Minister of Youth and Sports, Assistant Minister Hon. Collins F. Tamba also urged the teachers to represent Liberia well and return prepared to contribute to national development.

The Ministry of Education appreciates the European Union and UNIDO for their continued investment in Liberia’s TVET sector and in the development of our educators.

Safe travels to our 14 teachers, and we look forward to the knowledge and experience they will bring home.
