Today in Monrovia, school leaders gathered to commemorate the 61st Anniversary of the National Association of Liberian School Principals (NALSP) and participate in a national symposium on Sustainable School Leadership for Quality Education.
Serving as a keynote speaker, Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah emphasized that improving education outcomes depends not only on policies and resources, but also on strong leadership within schools. She noted that while teachers shape learning in the classroom, principals shape the conditions that allow effective teaching and learning to happen.
During the event, the Association honored the Minister with Honorary Membership and the Lifetime Transformative Educator Award, presented by former NALSP President Benjamin Wehye and current President Darric Dennis, recognizing her leadership and commitment to strengthening Liberia’s education sector.
The symposium provides an important platform for school leaders to share experiences, strengthen professional networks, and deepen collaboration across Liberia’s education system.
Strong leadership at the school level remains essential to improving teaching, strengthening accountability, and delivering better learning outcomes for every Liberian child.
