Ministry of Education Concludes TVET Data Collection Tool Validation Workshop

The Ministry of Education has successfully concluded a two-day validation workshop held from June 10–11, 2026, to strengthen the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Data Collection Tool.

The initiative marks an important step toward improving data management and supporting informed decision-making across Liberia’s education system.

Representing the Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, Assistant Minister for Planning, Research and Development, Hon. Oscar Flomo, highlighted the importance of reliable, accurate, and timely data in improving the quality and effectiveness of TVET programs nationwide. He noted that quality data is essential for effective planning, sound policy development, efficient use of resources, and better educational outcomes.

The workshop brought together key stakeholders, education professionals, and technical experts to review and strengthen the data collection tool.

Participants worked collaboratively to ensure that it captures the information needed for effective planning, monitoring, and evaluation of TVET programs across the country.

Supported by UNICEF and the European Union, the workshop forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Liberia’s education system and expand access to quality technical and vocational education opportunities for all Liberians.
