156 IRISE Schools Now Connected to the Internet

The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce that the 156 public schools benefiting from the World Bank-funded Improving Results in Secondary Education (IRISE) Project are now being connected to the internet, marking another milestone in expanding digital learning across Liberia.

Each beneficiary school is equipped with a digital laboratory powered by the C3 Micro-Cloud Learning Management System, which hosts Ministry-approved senior secondary school textbooks and digital learning resources in core subjects.

With internet connectivity now being activated, teachers and students will be able to access digital learning resources beyond the classroom, while the Ministry strengthens real-time monitoring of school attendance, instructional delivery, and system performance.

The initiative forms part of the Government of Liberia’s vision to expand equitable access to technology and improve the quality of teaching and learning nationwide.

The Ministry appreciates the continued partnership of the World Bank, the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), and Starlink in advancing digital education. Connectivity efforts are currently continuing in schools across southeastern Liberia.
