The Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, paid a surprise early morning visit to the Winifred P. L. Brumskine School, a private institution, to observe teaching and learning in practice.
During the visit, 6-year-old Grade One student Samia-Michelle M. S. Sieh was recognized with gifts and a cash award for her strong reading ability.
The Minister engaged with school leadership and teachers, noting clear lesson planning aligned with the national curriculum and well-managed classrooms. The visit also provided an opportunity to interact directly with students and observe how the school is supporting learning at the early grade level.
The Ministry continues to prioritize monitoring, supporting, and recognizing schools, both public and private, that are delivering strong learning outcomes.
